PS2 and RJ11 connectors ???

Can anyone help ??



I am very soon going to be receiving a Compaq IPAQ 3970 and I would like to be able to use a GPS system with it.



I need to keep my costs down as I have a limited budget too.



I have seen the new TomTom Car Kit which is supposed to do away with all the untidy cables and connectors and it appears as though it is only capable of taking an RJ11 type connector from a GPS receiver as they say it will only work with the following wired GPS receivers: TomTom, Leadtek 9531 & 9532.



The actual GPS receiver I have found that I like is the TFAC MG30 but it comes with a PS2 type connector on the cable.



Is it possible to buy a convertor cable or does anyone know the relevant pinouts so I can change the plug myself ??

You are on your own unless someone else has the same GPS and has done what you intended.



It came with a PC serial cable? The you should have no problem finding out the pinouts from the PC serial cable.



And then you have the power issue.

How are you going to power the GPS?
