Darren
Yes Poi Capture is now on page 1 but now the 'connect to phone' (for pairing) has gone and been replaced with a grayed out 'mobile phone' icon.
On top of that 'tomtom traffic' and 'add to favourites' have moved to page 4 which in its self is no big deal but I thought I would mention it. _________________ TTG 300,External Aerial

Still not working. I have renamed the .mnu file, checked any file extensions. nothing seems wrong, but I have not had a flicker of change in the menus. The POI capture icon has never appeared in ANY menu, and the menus have not changed at all. My current menu, named TomTom.mnu, and located in a file in the root directory called "Go", which was a direct extraction of the .zip file, looks like this:-
MENUBLOCK|BLOCK_MAIN|BTM_GPS_POSITION|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE1|Main Menu 1 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_NAVIGATE_TO|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_FIND_ALTERNATIVES|
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK1|
MENUITEM|TASK_ADD_FAVORITE|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PREFERENCES|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE2|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE2|Main Menu 2 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PLAN_ATOB|
MENUITEM|TASK_SHOW_MAP|
MENUITEM|TASK_DELETE_ROUTE|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_ROUTE_INSTRUCTIONS|
MENUITEM|TASK_ITINERARY|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE3|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE3|Main Menu 3 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_SHOW_WEATHER|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_DOWNLOAD|
MENUITEM|TASK_TUTORIAL|
MENUITEM|TASK_SHOW_GPS_STATUS|
MENUITEM|TASK_ADD_FAVORITE|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE4|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE4|Main Menu 4 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_TRAFFIC|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PHONE|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE1|
Does this software actually work with the 700? I know it sounds illogical, but most people on this thread are talking about success or otherwise with the 300. I have tried everything, and I am using v5.202. HELP!!! |

That's where you are going wrong, if you read the preceding threads you'll see the explanation.
You extract the .zip file on your PC. This creates a 'GO' folder. You copy the Contents of this folder to the root of your GO's storage card, not the GO folder itself. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren - I looked at the other thread on this subject where you kindly explained how to copy the files over. I also downloaded the files from Scaredcats site - and after a lot of messing about, it now seems to be working.
How can I alter the menu pages to get the POI capture onto the first page? I've tried modifying the menu file, but it makes absolutely no difference to the order of the icons. |

If you use the .mnu file supplied in our .zip then POICapture is on Page 1. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi,
Forgive me if this has been asked before, but are the new POIs saved to a new Ov2 file or are they appended to the existing Relight / Gatso / Temporary etc.
Many thanks for a great site

Can someone please tell me where I can get version 5.202. I have tried TomTom website but it is no longer avialable. I deleted my copy when I upgraded to V5.420.
Thanks.

Go to the link shown in the very first post in this thread.
Click on the download link (in the grey box with a pic of the Go in it)
Scroll down and there is a link to a zip file immediately BELOW a similar grey box |

Andy, thanks very much for that.
I have downloaded the zip folder named system-5.203. When unzipped it contains just 3 files as follows:
data.chk 1035kb Recovered File Fragments
system 283kb file
ttsystem 3352kb file
Is this right? Will adding these files to the root directory of Go amend the version to 5.202? |
