Yes it is. However I'm having some hard lockups with SmartST Pro on the 2210 that I'm trying to get to the bottom of with Navman.
From a hardware perspective, the Navman will last longer <30 hours compared to TomTom BT GPS <6 hours. From a software perspective, both software packages are great, it does depend whether you want customisable POI's and speed cameras, in which case you would have to sway to TomTom for this. However, Navman's maps are much better. |

Having briefly used TT2 i have to agree that the Navman maps are much more accurate.
The 2 really inportant questions are :
What's the routing like and is the reception a lot better than the existing receiver ? |

From a routing perspective I find TomTom routes me the ways I would normally drive compared to SmartST Pro which will take me some different A road routes to get to the same destination. This isn't necessarily right or wrong, it's down to personal preference and driving ability and skill.
Reception is pretty good, I haven't had it lose a fix yet. I'm going to do some side by side fix tests with the Emtac and TomTom BT GPS' and we'll see how well it stacks up. That may not make it into the review, I'm not sure. It may come shortly after the review. |
