Hi I wonder if someone can help? Just bought a Tom Tom Go 500 unit. TT website states that Sony Ericsson K700i mobile phone is fully compatible with TTGO500. Can make/receive calls/texts with bluetooth activated but cannot upload phonebook with either sim card numbers/contacts list numbers. Comes up after a few mins of trying with "unable to update phonebook". Any suggestions? |

If you can create a CSV file for the contacts, you can copy the file to TT GO manually as "contacts.txt" (I think it's called contacts.txt - do a search here to be 100% sure). If you are interested, I can check the format of the file tonight when I get home. |

Hi thanks for the info. I have managed to construct a manual contacts list now which allows me to make calls to my phonebook. However I still can't get caller i.d. when recieving a call. Sony Ericsson say I have the latest version of firmware for my phone. Tom Tom suggested it was Sony's fault and Sony say that Tom Tom needs to produce a patch to solve the problem. Oh well we can wait in hope! |

The format is:
"Name","Number" (e.g. "Joe Bloggs","02081234567")
with one entry per line. The file should be called contacts.txt and should be created on the top level.
I have used my TT GO 500 with SE T610 and T630 without any problems.
Might be worth trying out with a different phone if you can.
