Question Guys,

After a recent nuisance when the battery on my Acer N35 went flat, I have had to re program all the camera databases and bmp and sound files, but never mind about that now.

My problem is that whenever I switch on Destinator 3 on my Acer as soon as it has gone through its start-up sequence, it will always appear with a route to my brother in laws house in Lincoln and my first task is to have to cancel that route before doing anything else. It works fine other than that, but it always reverts to this previously used route.

Is there anyway I can stop it from doing the same every time I use the Destinator 3 programme??

By the way Mikey, thanks for your past help with installation and I too cannot understand why your 'how to' post has not been made sticky!!

Steve

have a look at the file attributes - maybe the config file is set to read only.

Cheers Half,
I shall check when I get home.

I e-mailed Destinator and their suggestion was too make sure I hadnt left the unit in planner mode instead of destinate, I hadnt so still have the same route every time I switch the unit on.

Steve

A bit drastic, but have you tried reinstalling the software.

Copy the camera database files to your PC.
Remove the sd card with the PPC on and reinsert.
The program should then kick into life and try to reinstall.

All you then need to do is copy the speed camera files back across to the PPC again.

Mikey.

ps. If this doesn't work drop me an email and we can compare individual files to see which ones have changed and correct this way.

Well after much correspondence with Destinator by e-mail, the problem, it appears has been solved, it appears to have been a glitch in the following;

To delete your history please go to : Start, Programme, File Explorer, my Device, Storage Card, Destinator Apps or Paradigm and now click on the map (country). Now click and hold the pen on the file "PREVIOUS" for 3 seconds and now click on Delete.

Your History is now deleted !

Following this advice the route that kept reappearing has now left the building.

Thanks everyone for their help...........Smile
