Hope this is of some use?
I have no problems with lockups during Navigation when using my Lexar 256mb 32x SD card. Because I was tight on space I thought I would take the logical step and purchase a Lexar 512mb 32x SD card. Guess what, locks up all the time!
Went back to my trusty Lexar 256mb 32x SD card no problems.
I am not sure but maybe Lexar have changed there manufacturer? I would not like to guarantee buying another Lexar 256mb 32x SD card I would not have a problem with lockups ?
I don't need to put the XDA 2i in flight mode. (touch wood)
Can anyone give me advice on a Hands Free car kit for the XDA 2i? That works with tomtom navigation and hands free phone operation?
Cheers

Mine has not arrived yet but I now await it's arrival with increased anticipation!
If it works for me then we can be really sure the issue is down to the cards, and that we need to get a list of cards that do work put up and sticked. |

spent the day driving around london and now that i have sorted out tomtom it seems to have brought on a few more other problems ,but only after i have finnished using the progrm ,and to do 3 resets today because the today screen sort of locked up ...but that might be down to shoddy programing of tt _________________ TomTom 5001 |

Well my Transcend card arrived yesterday, but I had no real opportunity to test it until today.
So I sit here now, over 300 miles and 10 hours later and not a single freeze. Phone calls, GPRS file transfers, downloading mail, SMSs, MMSs and Traffic Information, both on TomTom and Traffic-I, the XDA IIi performed flawlessly, something that it has NEVER done since I got it, and i do not just mean with TomTom running.
So the answer is a Transcend 80x SD card, I don't think it is as much to do with the speed though, most likely power consumption/voltage issues as Pocket Mechanic shows the speed of the card being as quick as one of the ones that it replaced. |

weird isn't it
and all it took was a simple sd card problem which could have been solved from day 1 really _________________ TomTom 5001 |

Yesterday was the first day ever where I did not have to soft-reset my XDA IIi. After all the hassle I am confused as to whether I should be annoyed or happy..... |

can't say to be honest ...all you can do is buy 1 and try it ..and post your outcome for others to see _________________ TomTom 5001 |
