Hi, Newbie here.
BOUGHT my first version of TTN last week- TTN5 software and maps of Western Europe. I installed the plus maps, updated to version 5.1 and away we go-
I don't have a few maps I would have expected- M77 in Scotland specifically - this has been under construction for years and open since April.
A friend bought TTN software and GB maps about 1 month before me and he has this road!! Are the plus maps by nay chance using older data???
I've emailed TomTom but /i don't hold out much hope. |

Hi marko123,
to the forum!
The Plus and non-Plus maps should be the same age. You should have on your CDs the GB and GB Plus maps. Do you have enough space on your storage card to install the non-Plus GB map? If you do, try installing it and checking it against the GB Plus map.
Sorry, I’d normally do this myself and get back to you – but I’m at work and I haven’t got my TomTom map CDs with me.

Thanks Privateer.
I've got just enough room on the card (512mb crappy sandisk.- 1gb kingmax one is being replaced under warranty by ebuyer).
I'm trying this at present (first itme failed as it said it couldn't access the cd (tiny scratch around disk from the dust and grit ridden TOmTOm manufacturing facility!!!!))
Seems a bit odd but if they are sending out old maps they are not on especially at the prices they are charging.
As I said this is the first BOUGHT version I've had- might be my last. |
