Complain to the seller and tell him about this thread, tell him that if you don't get a refund you'll report him to eBay for selling copyright data and tell me what his eBay Seller ID is _________________ Darren Griffin |

Problem is, he is selling the link to your page, not the downloaded software itself!!!! |

Its a 5p listing day on Thursday. Maybe we should list on Thursday for 10 day auctions. Set reserve at £10,000,0000. That should stop a few people profiting on someones elses work. Just a suggestion. |

How easy is it to register as with eBay's VeRO Verified Rights Owners Program? Can individuals register? As people may want to do the same as PocketGPSWorld and get eBay to remove items that are illegally selling their own POIs.

Regards, |
You have to demonstrate you have the IP on a product or software and then provide a statement to that effect. If you are accepted can you then file complaints under the VeRO system. I'd reccomend it. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I would list an auction on ebay offering the link for free.
I would be happy to pay the ebay charges as a thankyou for the good work.
Mods let me know what you want me to put in the auction ad. |
Thanks but we'd rather you didn't at the moment. I'm submitting 40+ complaints a day under VeRO and it would best if we give these a few days to filter through before we consider our next move,. thanks though _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hmm, that one's difficult as he claims it is not our data, either I VeRO him and leave it to him to prove otherwise or do a test buy.
I have instead 'invited' him to provide evidence that the data is not ours. We'll see what web gets spun ;) _________________ Darren Griffin |

Secondly, by divulging his eBay ID in a public forum, you are in breach of eBay's Terms & Conditions. If he were to complain to eBay about this, they might suspend your account. (See Section 7.5 at http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/user-agreement.html)

Section 7.5 does not preclude the publication of an eBay users ID, that is not information which would publically identify him/her.
Also eBay prohibit the listings which are for downloadable media. Misleading auctions such as that are unjustifiable. He sold something that was not his to sell and contravened eBay's rules.
I have reported him, we'll see whether eBay agree. _________________ Darren Griffin |
