Viewing posts since last visit

This feature never works for me - I never get a listing of the new posts. I know that it is working to a limited extent because the icons on the forums with new posts turn orange.

I am assuming that it is something which I am doing wrong - or (presumably) the forums would be full of members complaining! Any suggestions?

I always access the forums via Pocketgpsworld.com (not .co.uk) - using Moxilla Firefox as a browser - and new posts since my last visit are sometimes marked - but not always. Of late, the 'failure' rate seems to have increased. Any ideas what might be happening? I never log out, so I aways arrive in a forum already logged in.

In case it matters, the forum which I use 99% of the time is TomTom GO.

it works in a weird way. you will get a list of new updated items but as soon as you open one they all get marked as visited, and the list turns empty. One workaround is to keep the list open and hold the shift button while clicking links (to open the posts in a new window)

No, my problem's not like that. If it marks the new posts at all, they stay marked for that visit - so that's ok. But sometimes, they're not marked at all.

For example, I turned my computer on this morning (Sunday) after it had been off over night. I went to the TTG forum and no posts were marked as new despite the fact that a number of posts were timestamped with Sunday's date - and quite obviously were new since my previous visit on Saturday.
