This looks exactly the same as Navigon Mobile Navigator 5!!

Can anyone help and explain the major differences.

Blinkin' 'eck!!

Navigon 5 for the whole of Europe for $199 - that's £115!! What are we waiting for...

According to the bumph, it works with TMC (albeit we know it won't work in the UK) if you've got a receiver. But at a fraction of the cost!! Navigon are asking €115 for the software, plus €199 for the European map set - that's £209!! I think I could be making a purchase - even if I've got to pay the shipping...

Do we know whether Navigon will provide support or is it done through OCN?

Cheers

S

Does the compatibility list change with this new version 5? I noticed my Toshiba e830 was not compatible with OCN 4. I would like to use it with my BT338 Globalsat.

Sounds pretty good compared to TomTom 5 featured. It would be nice to see them develop a solution for European cross-borders in detail, plus for example traveling from The Netherlands to the U.K. by boat or thru the tunnel in a seamless plan.

If the ferry lines are part of the NAVTEQ map OCN 5 will have them in the seamless European map, which allows you to travel cross borders without any problems as well.

I've just returned from a trip to Canada and North-West USA where a friend loaned me his GPS with a copy of Navigon 5 installed and I must say I found it very good and easy to use, with all instructions given in a very posh Englosh voice!

One thing I found, and he couldn't answer... It has a whole load of POI's installed, however it looks as if you can only turn them on or off, but not select types as you can in Tom Tom. Does anybody know if this is possible? Also can you install the pgpsw speed camera data base poi's? If the answer to thrse quesrtions is 'yes' then I would highly recomend it.

Oh, and it has the possibility to change the skins, but it only had one loaded, can you get others?
