I often used this in TT3 so I could plot my own POIs when I got home.
I don't seem to be able to find it now.
Has it gone or have they put it somewhere else?
Your help will be much appreciated _________________ Best wishes

Hi,
An answer is in that post, but it is NOT the same as the old Memorise Position.
It is a multi click action. You need first to find manage POI, then click Add POI, then the next screen asks you to select type of POI. By this time you will no doubt be a mile or two past the position you wanted to record.
If it is something new you won't be able to record it at all
I think the loss of the useful Memorise Position action is yet another backward step.
If there was anyway to place Add POI directly on the first or second screen it would help, but I have not been able to find one in the modify menu thread. _________________ Leigh

You could try Add as Favourite and transfer it later. _________________ Richard

Thanks for the suggestion. I will give that a try, it obviously needs to be something you can do with a minimum of screen clicks. _________________ Leigh

Isn't that what the linked post said?

A few taps I know but if you organize your menus using this then it's no big deal. _________________ Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. |

But I added - 'and transfer it later' - in reference to LeighB's reply to your post. _________________ Richard

Fair enough. It's just that it was sort of obvious (to me as least) that one would need to transfer it later, just like one had to do with TTN3's Memorize Position function.
No, no... I'm not splitting hairs! :D _________________ Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. |

Hi, I am probably very dumb, but Add Favourite seems no better than Add POI.
Click Add favourite and next screen requires you to select type.
Choicesd are Home, Address, Recent Destination, and POI. If you select POI, then you again have to choose an item from screen.
Do you just hit one at random and try and sort it later or what? _________________ Leigh

Sorry. It is in Browse Map that it works OK.
Browse Map / tap Navigate icon / Add Favourite. _________________ Richard

Hi, Sorry I was being dumb, I finally realised there is another screen and a selection "GPS position".
This is still 4 clicks instead of one or two depending where you add the Memorise Position button on the TTN3 menus.
Thnaks for help.

Yes, but if you customize your menus, you can still reduce (a little) the number of clicks! _________________ Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. |

Hi vlak,
I have Add Favourite on the first menu screen! I don't think I can reduce the clicks below five from displaying the route, unless there is some way to get the GPS position icon on to the first Add favourite screen
It does work, I tried it on the way home just now, but it involves too much time looking at and touching the screen for my peace of mind _________________ Leigh

Sounds like you need a co-pilot... or a pen-pusher!!!
Anyone for voice activated commands?!
