I have just upgraded to version 5.10. Now, there is no sound warning for speed cameras. Can anyone tell me how to restore this feature? The sound still works for the directions.
I have what I think may be another problem. The unit is difficult to turn on. I have to keep pressing the switch and sort of wriggle it around until it finally activates the unit. Also, on a jouirney the other day the unit turned itself off several times. When I switched it on again it seemed OK and picked up where it had left off. This seems a bit dangerous though. Are they all like this or should I be thinking about sending it back?
Thanks in advance for any advice. |

You can the Camera Warnings by visiting here.
Are you pressing the button long enough to turn it on. It's a feature to stop it being turned on accidentally.
Do you still have the original 128MB SD card? If so, it has been noticed by a lot of users that it reboots. This has been put down to the SD card getting full. _________________ Richard

Thank you very much for your response to my post. The information you provided is extremely helpful.
I do still have the original card and have been thinking about getting a bigger one. I'll see if that solves the problem. Do you know if any cards will work or are some better than others.
Thanks again,

I am no big expert on memory card brands but I bought a Kingston Technology 256MB SD card for my Go300 and it works perfectly (using v5.1 software).
The card was under £20 from Digital Depot, who delivered the card within 24 hours of placing my order.
As far as I can tell it works at least as quick as the orignal SD card supplied by TomTom. |

Thanks for the information about the SD card.
Despite the things I've read about the new version, 5.10, I've just installed it. I have to say that my machine is now working better than ever. I went out and tested it yesterday and I loved it.
Even with the old card, it seems to be working fine now, so I think I'll hang on until later in the year when I plan to go to France before I get a new one.
I really appreciate your help, though, Thanks again
