The windscreen mount for my 740 (A RDS mount) no longer stays stuck to the windscreen. Has anybody any suggestions to fix this?

many thanks

Malcolm

The silly things first - you have cleaned the inside of the windscreen (a glass cleaner) & the bit that sticks to the screen. I find sometimes they need a bit of moisture to stick

You could look at one of the mats that have been reviewed here - which might allow a more permanent fixture to mount or might be worth looking at alternative mounts and see whether will take the active bit from yours

Thanks for the replies. I had cleaned everything with meths, and already have two brodit mounts in use for phones. As a last resort I phoned TT and they suggested a couple of drops of wateron the suction pad. Beleive it or not it worked Shocked Very Happy

FWIW I purchased a set of two TT black plastic disks for the dashboard of my motorhome and car. Both of which the dashboard slopes slightly towards the windscreen, and the TT mount doesn't have enough adjustment to compensate for this.

I would believe it. I thought that everyone knew that you usually have to wet them to make them stick Confused But what do I know?

Strangely enough my manual says to use it dry, and it did work when I used it on the windscreen. Now I use an Arcol mat, and I do have to wet it to get it to stick on that.
