Just bought a TomTom One from PC World for the bargain price of £219.
All I need to do now is add the cameras to it...
I have no idea how to do this, so any chance anyone can do me a quick idiots guide?
Thanks in advance |

I have visited the download page which you have mentioned however, the database does not mentioned that it is intended to be used with the TomTom One model.
Quote: "We have launched a camera capture application called POICapture this works on TomTom GO and TomTom Navigator"
Could someone let me know if these POI files are compatible.
Best Regards |

Yes, all TomTom products use .ov2 files. Follow the instructions for the GO. _________________ Tim |

Many thanks for letting me know. I have read the installation guide and noticed that it does not support software version 5.42, which is on my TomTom. Hopefully this software version will be supported soon. |

That only refers to the add-on program to automatically add new camera files.
The camera database POI files work on any version of Go/One/Navigator and many other systems too. |

Hi notorious19, GeeTee, and john_fred,
to the forum!
There are some guides that should be read (in the following order):
The beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database.
This explains about the different camera types and about categories and subcategories, so that you can decide how you want the database on your unit.
Depending on whether you have TomTom Navigator on a Pocket PC or TomTom GO, please read either:
How to install (camera database) POIs to TomTom Navigator 5.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto a Pocket PC running TomTom Navigator 5.
How to install (camera database) POIs onto a TomTom GO, Rider, or One.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto your TomTom GO, Rider, or One.
The above guides may look lengthy and complicated when first seen. However if you grab a cup of coffee and read each one thoroughly then they should make sense as they have been written in a step-by-step way, for ease of reading.
