Hello,

I have a T-Mobile MDAII with updated ROM from 1.60 to 1.72.
After that upgrade a run of TOMTOM Nav 3 AND Oziexplorer (of course not at the same time) is no longer possible. (TT--> run, OZI --> no run)

I was asked, to deinstall the well running TomTom and try if Oziexplorer is running without TT. Result: Negative. (Is the deinstallation of TomTom really complete, or does remain some thing on the MDA?)

One interesting thing I have noticed after the Update of the ROM:
The previous setting of OZI were: COM 5, 38400, GPGLL
With this setting Ozi with ROM 1.60 on MDA II work fine.
After update to ROM 1.72 OZI shows at once a "ERR" in the right upper corner (instead of an "ON" when OZI worked normal)

So I think, the friendly collegues of T-Mobile have again mixed up something on the Bluetooth input channels setting.
--> This is real hard, meanwhile i love cables and hate BT.

Has some body an idea what t-mobile has done in the update of the ROM 1.72? Do I really have to go back to 1.60 (nooooooooo!!!)
How can i config the Bluetooth settings myself (helptools....)?

Please help me. Thanks, Stefan Crying or Very sad

PS: I think, I have to give up my nick name

In the Bluetooth Settings, can you find the outgoing Serial Port? it may have changed...

Hello,

There are not a lot settings on the MDAII you can select:

This picture is similar to the previous ROM1.60. I found no other way to change setting on PPC2003.

By the way: Enclosed you find the picture of OZIexplorer, showing the "ERR" symbol since ROM1.72, which was "ON" using ROM1.60.

Maybe somebody can help me. Thanks, Stefan[/img]

Stefan,

you need to check the box next to "Auslaufender COM Port" (was für eine dämliche Übersetzung)

After that do a soft reset and try again

Hello Lutz,

Thanks for the quick response.

Result: Negative.... ERR occur again at once after trying to establish the Blutooth link to the TT GPS (also with TomTom N3 uninstalled and "auslaufender Port enabled" ).

Hi Lutz,

Are there some new ideas to my still existing problem from your side???

I still did not reinstall the older ROM 1.60 (instead of the 1.72) on my MDA II, because of the big afford.

...hopefully a door opens somewhere and I will come in the Bluetooth heaven, meaning, that TT Nav3 and Oziexplorer is running...

Are the diagnosis/configuration tools for PDAs, which show the config of the BT ports and let them change?

Thanks for your assistance, Stefan
