Avoid Road doesn't light up...

I'm new to CoPilot, and I've spent the better part of this week learning how to operate this package. However, I can't seem to make the Avoid Road function work. I built an itinerary between two points, got the directions, and it takes me through no man's land. I have tried to select a road and click the "Avoid Road" button to come up with a new route - no dice. I have tried it in both Guidance and Planning modes with the GPS on or off with no luck. Suggestions? Thanks!

These functions do only work in guidance mode.

I'm not sure how you are using the Avoid function. As Lutz said, it only works when you are in the Guidance mode. Here's how I use it and it works:

1. Plan you trip ... select you destination.
2. Select Guidance and let Copilot calculate the route.
3. As you start driving, select Itinerary and you should see a list of you upcoming turns.
4. Before you get to a particular turn, tap that line and then tap Avoid. At that time, you should see Copilot recalculate your route and display a new route. You can confirm by going back into the itinerary and you should see some other route listed.
