Very strange - but my 940 is no longer recognised as a USB device by my PC. The light on the TT turns green for a split second , then red and the PC reports an unrecognised USB device . I have tried other USB ports on the same machine and the TT cradle on another PC - all with the same results. As far as I can tell the TT charges from the cradle in the car .
The only thing I can think of is I've damaged the pins on the cradle when cleaning it - but I can't see any damage.
Any ideas ?

Have you tried resetting the unit and trying again? Not sure whether your model has a dedicated reset hole or if you need to hold the power button about 10 seconds till the drum sound is heard. _________________ David |

You beat me to it!
This happens sometimes when I connect my 720 to the PC, and I've always found that a pin in the reset hole sorts it out. _________________ Anita

Problem solved ... sorry
I tried removing the micro SD card , shut down , reboot , shut down , insert , place in cradle , reboot. The first time I did this - no change. But the second time - the PC recognised the TT. The light is still red however - does this mean its not charging .
Grrrr................ TT software again ................. |

Red DOES mean it's charging....
Green means it's charged.
If you have problems again, try the steps in the THIRD section here. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
