|

Hi Guys,
I hope someone here has more idea than Navigon Support.
My 2150 Max was working perfectly, then I installed Q1 2011.
Became aware of random freezes with this error message:
http://tinyurl.com/6h8k48d
Gradually realised I could force the error by pressing the 'Traffic' button.
This says to me that the error came with Q1 2011 and is TMC related.
Navigon support had me doing all sorts of stuff to the unit but nothing worked and their 'technicians' have not come up with a solution yet.
I reinstalled Q4 2010 and the unit works perfectly.
Any ideas anyone?
Much appreciated.

I have the same problem - mine also crashes on major A roads and motorways.
I raised a call 3 weeks ago but still not fixed. I have been told that only a few people are affected and that they think it is a problem with just one of the maps.
Just wish I made a back up...

Thanks for that Alex, nice to know I'm not alone.
Can you post here if Navigon give you a solution?
I'll do the same.
Maybe Q2 will be OK when it turns up.
All the best,

Hi Alex,
Thanks for that, they've told me nothing.
I'm not sure whether to bother trying Q1 or wait a bit longer for Q2.
Actually I think my sub may run out before then so I'd better check.
All the best,

They only told me after I chased for an update. The solution was:
"Regarding your query, we can inform you that the issue you encountered so far was solved. Please connect your device to PC via USB cable, open NAVIGON Fresh and log in with your account. Then, enter the tab My System and you will find active the option for Latest Map Guarantee, option that will allow you to re-install the latest update on your device."
That didn't work for me as my sub ran out last week and their email address is now down... |

I've just emailed them and got a quick reply (for a change).
Word for word same as your email.
I'll give it a try when I've got time.
I think it's unlikely I'll get a Navigon next time I buy a satnav, considering I'm reasonably 'tech-savvy' I've had to contact their help far too often over the past couple of years.
My daughter's Garmin is much easier to use.
Thanks for your help.

I had great difficulty getting Navigon to transfer across my (one month) out of date Speed Cams to the new platform so posted a new (funny) request on their Facebook page every day! After about 3 days of this they finally gave in and extended my sub to the 4350 for long enough for me to get an update.
Since you weren't able to get your (last) map update through no fault of your own why not try embarrassing them on Facebook as I did? _________________ Tim

Thanks C1Man, actually had to use that tactic to get them to respond to my initial email. They have very generously given me a 3 day subscription to sort it out... |

Hi Alex,
I've installed the new files and all seems OK so far.
There are what look like two Q1 files available on the site, I used the one with the shorter name.
All the best,
