TT930 mount for a Galaxy/Alhambra?

As much as I love my 930 I just wish the mount was more flexible! I've been looking for a replacement mount for some time now, but none seem to hit the mark.
I've got an old long gooseneck from my old Mio (with 4 hooks) which apprently no-one does a seperate adaptor for yet so I've looked at the Arkon kit , I kind of like the small stick on dash holder (TTGO136) but I wonder how well it will stick to the dash as it's got that wonderful bobbly textured effect
The other alternative would be the TT112 which while looks very good just wonder how much dash it takes up?

Any thoughts? Or perhaps alternatives? I did look into doing a home made mount (I think there was one for the 510 somewhere else on the web) which used Ram parts to fasten it to a pillar on the car, damn good idea but I was stopped in looking at that due to no compatible 930 mount.

I haven't looked for a specific mount for your car but my favourite combo (and the one I use in my daily drive) is a Carcomm cradle coupled with a Brodit ProClip.

The ProClip's are vehicle specific and are widely used by all of us here at PocketGPSWorld Towers.

I have also reviewed Brodit's cradle here and it's another option worthy of consideration.

I can also recommend the Brodit mount system !! I have tried a few and always go back to brodit .
dsl developments are very good to deal with !!

Also John Lewis had some discs which went on to the dash board so you could mount on there without marking the surface

I have an old Mio 168 Gooseneck & was thinking of just cutting off the TT standard mount then glue it to the mio flex mount with a bit of Aradite or the likes.

Just a thought.

I was thinking of buying the goosesneck from the TT website but now I am glad I didn't.

As a test I strapped the TT mount onto the Mio 168 goose neck & tried it out before getting hold of the hacksaw & glue, it was rubbish, because the 730 unit is so much heavier than the 168 it bounced around all over the place to the point where it was almost impossible to see the map.

What have I learned, Don't use a TT Go 730/930 with a goose neck mount unless the roads you drive on are made of snooker table grade slate
