Phone numbers of POI items?

Does TomTom have phone number as pasrt of the POI information? Which sofware is best in this regard?

POI data elements consist of Longitude, Latitude, and Comment field. These fields are separated by comma (the Comment field comes last, is enclosed in quotes, and can also contain commata).

Here is an example:

53.5 , 4 , "Truckers Restaurant La Bamba"

This means the Comment field is a "dumb" field. It can contain any text, including phone numbers, but it would not know about that. It is YOU, the user on the other side of the screen who knows that that combination of digits may actually be a phone number.

So you need to find an application that a) has a well defined structure for the comment field and b) explodes this structure into separate field with one of them being the phone number.

I am not aware of such an application.

OK, so if I understand correctly, TomTom doesn't supply the phone number info for POI items as it is sold but there is a way to add such info on custom POIs. That's too bad. I can imagine being in a new area, looking for a place to eat and wanting to call ahead to make a reservation for example. Same for finding a Hotel. Or a car repair shop. A good full featured POI system would expand the usability of any navigation package. So, what other package would be fairly good in this regard?

For example Destinator has an extensive POI database, including the phone numbers of establishments.
