As lots of people on this site like myself have found out after buying a S90i that you can only use there camera database as there is not enougth room for the database suplied from this site, I have emailed Navman about this problem and urge every one to do the same, this way we may get a software upgrade to put it right. |

discopete
Hi and welcome. Assuming you also have an S90 the instructions are on the download page here. If you have any problems please let us know and we'll help you.
Please note in step 4 the bit that says
Quote: | Note: Newer versions of the software, by default, ask for 'Files of type: CSV Files (*.csv)' You might have to put *.* or *.asc and press 'Open' in the File Name window in order to show the asc files. |
You'll see what we mean when you get to it, if it applies. A lot of people miss this instruction. |

Connect you S90 and run Navdesk and click on "My Subscriptions". Right click on the words "Safety Camera" and click on "Recover Subscriptions". It will then download and install the latest update. This seems to be the approved way of doing it but probably not what it says in the manual. I've downloaded these this morning.

Posted here as the other topic got locked as I was typing!
To discopete...
(In that other post you seemed to be talking about the downloadable general POIs from this site rather than speed cameras, so that's what I'm referring to...)
I don't have a Navman, but I would have thought you could use the same instructions as for loading the Speed Camera database POIs from this site.
Instructions for that are HERE for the entire Navman range EXCEPT the F-range models, and HERE for the F-range only (but not the F-10).
If you said what model you own, someone might have more specific details. (but now we've been moved here we DO know! ) |

I locked it because discopete was asking about pois and speed cameras in the speed camera forum. However discopete has yet to confirm which model of Navman he owns.... |

Having spent a few days reading all the advertising blurb about the S90i
I got the impression that it came with a 12Month Safety camera trial.
Mine arrived yesterday and it now says the trial is only for 3 Months |

From what I remember, the preinstalled speed cam POIs were free to use for a year - no updates though.

I've had a private message from discopete asking for further assistance for installing PGPSW speed cams POIs on his S90i. I pointed him back to this forum and the update from PaulB2005 with the link to the installation instructions.
After a further private message from discopete because NavDesk was telling him to buy maps from their online store I've had a more in depth look at the instructions and can see his problem.
NavDesk has a totally seperate function, "Custom POIs", which does not involve going via the "MAP" menu. Can the instructions be updated to reflect this?
Regards

I've provided the screen shots and overview for MaFt. I don't know if other models are affected though. E.g. if you apply the latest map upgrades do you get Navdesk 2008 with it?
