All this is new to me so i apologise for my ignorance
Just purchased the garmin nuvi 310 which has pre installed a 30 day trial subscription to their camera database.
If i want to install the pocketgps database to my satnav will i have to remove the garmin camera database first??
Also how will the camera warning appear on the sat nav screen. |

you can run both at the same time but some of your warnings will be doubled up! the easiest way is to disable the garmin/cyclops ones in settings / proximity warnings
depending on the file set you download you will get the following visual warnings:
single file:
speed camera icon for all camera types and speeds
consolidated:
gatso icon for gatso, truvelo, monitron, redspeed;
redlight icon
specs icon
mobile icon
speed zoned:
as above but with speed displayed too.
for ALL file types garmin units give an initial audio warning and you will get a red banner at the top showing the speed. if you go over the speed you will get repeated bongs until you slow down.
hope that helps

I'd suggest you re-read it then! Why are you downloading the GPX version? The version you need is the Garmin POI Loader version. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I'm not referring to POI Loader, you said you had downloaded the GPS Version of our database, that is incorrect, you ought to be using the Garmin POILoader version of our database. _________________ Darren Griffin |
