Sorry, but I can not answer your first question - I have a C710 which previously required a Bluetooth connection to amend files on the internal flash. However, this application/hack allows me to use the USB connection instead - with the resulting increased transfer speed. Using this interface allows me to reduce the time taken to upload new voices, modifications to speech scripts, MP3 files as well as new improved maps |

|
|
Hi Everyone,
New to the forum and the MIO (510E), came across the postcode issue which led me here.
I've tried the Mio Transfer Hack (i've put the MUT.dll in the same folder) but get the error message
"Proceedure entry point MUTShowHidePicture could not be located in the dynamic link library MUT.dll"
Any ideas on why or what i can do to get it working.
(i did close MIO sync first).
Thanks,
Mike. |

Hi
Do you have MIO 3.2?
I had the same problem initially, but I solved it by replacing the MUT.dll with the version that is provided in the MIO3.2 Update software.
Try that |

To be more specific, I found the working copy in
C:\Program files\Mio Technology\MioMap v3 Updater

Thanks Swordsmaker,
Just got it working by putting the file in the
C:\Program Files\Mio DigiWalker
folder.
I had put the Mio Hack Transfer file and the MUT.dll file in a seperate directory.
Cheers,
Mike. |

Hi,
I'm also as newbie to the whole satnav thing and the damn male voice on my Mio c510e is offputting.
Haven't tried any of this stuff yet for the voices, although what I do want, is some english voices, by looking in the folder "" it seems that there are only french and italian in there?
Please let me know where i can get some english speaking voices, don't mind the accent.
Also, I see that there are alot of voices on the net for the Tom Tom, will these work on the Mio c510e?
Thank you,
Pawley84 |

The TomTom voices are totally different from the Mio ones.
So you can't use them.
There are some possiblities to take some parts of the phrases and put them in a new voice. But it's a tedious job to get it all working. _________________ Mio C710 unlocked.

Try putting 'UK Female voice for my Mio 510' into Google, there are several places, but the voice I use is Phillipa. Can't remember from where I got it though. |

Mio transfer comes on the disc that you should have got with your Mio.
Have you tried the link on the third line of the first post in this thread? I just did and it still worked.
Transfer Hacked gives you more access to where MioMap is stored (flash memory) but you need a copy of mut.dll. I could not find a copy of this via google. Perhaps someone else knows where to find it (other than on the original DVD) |

This application is also available via the PGPSW web site - here
...and there's a page full of instructions for the Mio - here
There's a link from the main speed camera page, but you might have missed it.
If you can't find the .dll, post back here and I'll have a look on the DVD & find a way of getting it to you _________________ Andy
