|
|
I wonder if anyone has experinced this.
I have recently noticed that each time I put the Navman sleeve on to the IPAQ it does not recognise the storage card and takes a while before the menu is available.
One way raound this is to reset the machine(IPAQ) and then take out the CFCard and put it back in again. I have now done a hard reset, and upgraded to service pack 2. The behaviour is still the same. I have not experienced this before.
Product: Navman 3400, Ipaq H5400 |

I found this problem with the 3450 and my iPAQ 5450. However NavMan do say that you should softboot your PDA after connecting the sleeve.
I usually attach the sleeve remove CF card and then softboot. After the boot sequence I insert the CF card, and all is OK. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Thanks for you response.
Do you mean that each time you want to use the Navman Unit you have to take out the card, reboot the Ipaq and then insert the card again? I have got away with just doing a soft reset to use the unit.
In the process of soft resetting and taking out the battery, I lost all my data today.
Would it be possible to reformat the CF card? and does anyone know where I can get an utility to do this? |

I doubt very much if these problems are related to the CF card as this happens with all my CF cards (8 of them) and all of these work perfectly in the 2210 and in the 5450 with CF Sleeve. _________________ Mike Barrett |

I am sorry to dissapoint you but I just used my Canon Digital Camera to format the CF card, re-installed the Navman Maps, now the unit is working perfectly OK. |
