The lead that you are referring to is the aerial for the TMC, (Traffic Message Channel). The socket on the T2 cradle is a 3.5mm headphone type socket, how does the plug on the lead you have compare with a 3.5mm headphone plug?

yes a 3.5mm headphone set fits into the craddle perfectly but the plug on this aerial is to small to fit in to the craddle |

That sounds like you have been supplied the wrong aerial, the older RDS aerial used to use an mMCX style coax connector which could be what you have - Mike |
