ViewRanger launches augmented reality features

ViewRanger are claiming a 'world's first' with the addition of Skyline, an augmented reality view, to their app.
Using the camera in your smartphone, Skyline overlays major features such as mountain peaks, lakes, villages etc onto live camera view. And, whilst navigating a planned route, Skyline can also display waypoints and directional arrows.
Skyline can already identify nine million landscape features world-wide and is free with the latest version of the ViewRanger app, available now in the Apple App Store and coming soon to Google Play.
