It's now been a year since the horrific accident that claimed the lives of six people on Birmingham's Lee Bank Middleway.

It has been said that the likely cause of the crash was due to an Audi travelling at over 90mph in a 40mph limit. It collided with a taxi and a Toyota.

The senior coroner commented back in May: "Fundamentally, the cause of the collision was as a result of excessive speed. It is unlikely the driver of the taxi or the Toyota could have taken any reasonable action to avoid the collision."

The council has responded by introducing average speed cameras on the road - they are due to be switched on any day now.
