Speed Camera Set To Continuous Flash

A faulty speed camera has been flashing innocent motorists as they drive past.

The fixed camera is on the A4 in Saltford in the Bath area of Somerset.

Bath and North East Somerset Council commented yesterday: "We can confirm that the council, which is responsible for the maintenance of the speed camera at this location, is aware of a fault and an engineer will be on site in the next few hours."

They added: "We would like to reassure motorists that any motorist passing the camera who has not broken the statutory speed limit will not be issued with a fixed penalty notice by Avon and Somerset Police."
