Using a satnav is set to become a standard part of the Dutch driving test.

From March 2019, all those learning to drive will have to show that they can use navigation devices safely.

The use of satnavs in tests in Holland is nothing new - they have been employed since 2011, but not as a mandatory part of the test process.

When the new system is introduced, the examiner will set the route for the driver to follow.

UK learners have been using satnavs during their tests, that are supplied by examiners, since December last year.
