New speed cameras went live yesterday on the M20 in Kent.

Highways England say that the average speed cameras will be operational until autumn next year.

They will monitor roadworks between junctions 9 to 11 with a speed limit of 50 MPH - a new junction (10a) costing £104 million is being built.

A spokesman for Highways England commented: "Speed cameras will be operational when we reduce the running lane to two lanes in both directions."

He added: "They will be operational 24/7."

Going that way tomorrow. I like specs zones, but will find this a bind as I have no cruise control tomorrow (used to just setting it and letting it do its thing nowadays) and will have to pay more attention to the speedo Sad

If you use CamerAlert it warns you with a series of reminders if you creep over the limit.

Not on the M20 in that area it won't. There's only 1 Specs camera, and that's an End. Wink
