Mobile Speed Cameras Catch 38000 In North Wales

Nearly 38,000 speeders were caught by mobile speed camera vans in North Wales last year.
There has been a steady rise over the last three years in the numbers caught, from 33,846 in 2012 and 36,998 drivers in 2013.
However, the number is considerably lower than when Chief Constable Richard Brunstrom, who famously targeted speeding motorists, was in charge of North Wales Police back in 2009 - during that year, 53,908 drivers were caught speeding by mobile speed camera vans.
Figures were obtained by the Daily Post under a Freedom of Information Act request.
