Garmin provide 3D satnav for MercedesBenz concept car

Earlier this year Daimler AG announced that they had chosen Garmin as the global navigation provider for Mercedes-Benz. And now Garmin have provided a custom in-dash 3D nav system for the Mercedes S-Class concept car that debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The nav system uses 3D city models and runs on the K2 Infotainment System platform that was first shown at CES in January. The K2 system combines combines digital displays with voice control and smartphone integration.

If they continue to develope cars there will come a day when we don't need to be in them at all.

I bet the satnav is a 'concept' satnav as well. Never to be actually produced Rolling Eyes
