Garmin's Edge range of cycling GPS computers have had an update. The Garmin Edge 810 (with a 2.6" display) and the Edge 510 (with a 2.2" display) come equipped with colour touchscreens, wireless data transfer, weather and social media sharing.

The Edge 810 adds a built-on map and supports optional street and topographical mapping with navigation capabilities on top of the training features that both units have. Both also have full support for ANT+ compatible sensors such as cadence, heart rate

Garmin are making a big noise about the connected features of both devices. When paired with an Android or Apple smartphone and the matching Garmin Connect app, both models can share data, provide live tracking and access to social media features.

The Garmin Edge 510 is available now at an RRP of £249.99 and the Garmin Edge 810 will be available shortly at an RRP of £379.99.
