Almost 25,000 tickets have been issued by speed cameras in Devon and Cornwall since January 2016.
A Freedom of Information Request to Devon and Cornwall Police has revealed that on average 800 tickets are issued in the area each month.
In total, there were 23,485 fixed penalty fines issued with one motorist recorded driving at 136mph in 2017 by a mobile speed camera. The record this year is 121mph.
However, the numbers caught speeding are likely to be a lot higher, as many drivers have the option to attend speed awareness courses or appear in court.
One camera alone, on the A386 in Plymouth, caught 7,555 people in 2017.
