I couldn't find any info on search.
What experience have you had using the Smartphone Link on SatNav such as the 3598?
At the moment I don't have Apple or Android and wonder whether it would be worth buying an Android phone. |

There are a few posts about smartlink and we were posting about it quite recently.
I personally don't think it's worth the expense of getting a phone specifically for it but if you are considering getting a new phone anyway.
I'm still of the opinion that the TA cable Inrix traffic is better. _________________ Satnav:

I find it worth while because I don't get great HD receiption everywhere I regularly travel - but if you do then I would guess the lead is a simple and reliable fit and forget solution
However if you don't have HD traffic built in to your unit, but it is compatible with SmartLink then £50 on a phone may be cheaper than a new HD cable and serve other purposes
SmartLink is in my opinion great on the **97 and **98 series Nuvis, broken on the NuviCam and the latest DriveSmart series - but Garmin will not admit to it and just keep suggesting I return my units _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

Got a good offer on a smart phone, far superior to the Nokia/Win OS, works well with Garmin and pleasantly pleased with the low data usage. We don't use the car every day but still manage 1200 miles/month. |
