France is set to install 10,000 speed cameras across their network of roads, and every one of them is a dummy.

These non-operative cameras are hoped to stem the increasing death road on French roads.

Although the number of road accidents actually fell in 2015, fatalities increased by 2.4% to 3,464.

This is the first time period over 35 years where road deaths in France increased in two consecutive years.

The gradual three year roll-out of the fakes begins next month alongside the installation of an additional 500 fully operational speed cameras.
