Hi everyone, I have a problem with the Android CameraAlert app and wondered if you could help or advise. I am using this app on a Samsung Galaxy S4.
I use this app in the background with Waze, and when I use Device Output as 'Default' for sound, it conflicts with my car bluetooth hands free system in terms of it does not sound any alerts, which is understandable, so I an ok with that. But when I change the 'Default' to 'Device Speaker', the volume of the alert goes to full volume no matter what I do or try:
- I tried the manual warning volume option, no difference
- I reinstalled the app, no difference
- I more or less turned every volume option on my phone to 1, no difference
- I rebooted my phone, no difference
- I restarted my the app in several different sequences, no difference
- I used a Ding instead of the Female Voice, no difference
- I enabled and re-enabled various related options while the app was running, no difference
- I told my kids and wife to zip it, just so I can hear the app level of volume properly, no difference
- I drove around different parts of the country just in case it was local to a few cameras, no difference
- I tried during the day, during the night, during rain and during sun, no difference
I have read few other posts about this same issue, but the responses were mostly similar recommendations, i.e. did you try the app volume option, did you try the phone volume options, did you re-install...hence I never saw a solution to any of the posts that I read.
Either I am being really thick here, i.e. I can't figure this simple thing out on my own, or then there is some limitation or bug, or may be a conflict with the S4, I don't know, but I wanted to ask if anyone could shed some light on this issue.
Thanks. |
