Garmin Express Extras Tab

I've reinstalled my pc today and having the same issue with garmin express as previously had and that all the extras are missing (ie garage extras)

anyone else having that issue

using a 3598

You need to attach your GPS for the Extras tab to populate.

I'm the same as WalkerX, my extras tab has always been blank no matter how long I leave it to populate.

All the others seem OK though.

The one thing I do like about the latest Express is that it remembers your device and shows you any updates without it being connected. I noticed 3 over the weekend (OK they were German updates) but it prompted me to bring the unit in and update it.

Just checked and no issues here, maybe it's PC related? You are connecting directly to a USB port and not via a hub as occasionally that can cause problems?

Maybe we already have everything installed that that tab has to offer ?

My 2390 has nothing installed and the get the vehicles on my 3598 I had to download manually from garmin and then copy to card.

I had this issue before rebuilding my pc - i'm running windows pro 8.1 (64 bit)

update: I emailed Garmin about this issue and there reply was 'sorry you are having trouble updating the maps, please follow the steps below to update your maps'

just shows they don't actually read emails before replying, poor customer service and training springs to mind....

I'm on Win7 32bit just to supply a comparison.

I'll give it another go tomorrow when I'm WFH. (if I remember)

The fact that it's just one tab makes me look away from the PC itself or surely all tabs would be blank ?

I take that back, here's the story:

Fired up Express with no device connected and they all appeared, like your screenshot, in the All Tab.

I also noted that I had 2 updates waiting for the device to be connected. Went out and got the unit and the updates were the same 2 that I'd updated on Sunday including the 4.2 firmware.

As soon as I connected the device the update list cleared and the number 2 in the green circle then disappeared so this time it acknowledged they were installed.

Then went to the next 2 tabs and all those items on the Extras tab were now on the device tab and the All tab is blank again.
