There are still a few independant repair shops around that may be able to fix "Natalie" if you think it's worth it.
Often it is only one zener diode, or the diode and a voltage regulator or DC-DC convertor chip that fry, and they are replaceable (by those with sufficiently steady hands, good eyesight and small tools to re-do surface-mount components!)

On a US TomTom forum there was even a video of a Polish repair-man doing it using an enormous soldering iron!
