I have the same problem. I did a clean install of the latest version and nothing happens when I click on the icon. I uninstalled it and went back to the previous version which works fine.

Interesting

Did you have both the Setup and Setup_52 files ?

I'm going back to the basic Setup.exe for the beta that M8 will get today, that is the only thing that has changed. I did that because of a suggestion that the version number isn't obvious before install. I'm going to use a text file instead.

All still working for me using the _52 file though.

If anyone want's to give the beta a shot then:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/e95y1lakvdn92i0/CSV%20to%20GPX%20Installer.zip?dl=0

Beta Instructions:

In the BMP and WAV folders are some new ones that need to go into your Working Folder:

Gatso_nospeed.bmp (& wav)
Mobile_nospeed.bmp (& wav)
pMobile_nospeed.bmp (& wav)
Specs_nospeed.bmp (& wav)

The option to include or exclude the 'unverified' has gone. They weren't unverified but cameras with no speed associated and should be included with a suitable warning.

Note: With no speed the proximity cannot be accurately set so they will all be associated with what you have set your 60mph cameras at.

I'm concerned now because that's 2.

The beta will prove or disprove.

..... Just installed beta v53 on another Win7 PC that's never had the Converter on it and it's fine.

Waiting with baited breath ... I've expunged every remnant of the convertors and speed cams from my system to see if when I load up the new version the BaseCamp issue is sorted Very Happy

Working on both my PC's but not on M8's 2 Win10 PC's

At the moment I've got no idea why it just produces a rotating wheel then dies.

We have some progress.

Something has occurred on Win10 that is preventing ClickOnce applications running from the icon. It seems it needs Administrator privileges now.

The application exe is sitting in

C:\Windows\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\ (weird 8.3 folder name)\ (another weird 8.3 folder name)\ csvt...rter~

Clicking the exe in there works.

Investigating ......................

Problem with the 'weirdly named' folders is that the one s for Direction Converter are in there as well. Be warned if you run that in conjunction with GPX converter

Another 'hit' I found was that .NET 4.5.1 may be needed so I've upgraded to that and recompiled.

Latest in the beta link.

Allan, does yours also run OK when double clicking the exe from the link:

C:\Windows\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\ (weird 8.3 folder name)\ (another weird 8.3 folder name)\ csvt...rter~

Thanks Allan

I've spent all day on the phone with M8TJT and we have concluded that something has occurred, more than likely on my PC that is interfering with the deployment on Win10 PC's.

All I can think of is that Wed or Thu, when I shut my PC down it came up with the 'Configuring Updates' message even though I hadn't updated anything.

The only other curious thing is that it's working on another Win7 PC.

At the moment I have no idea, but I'm still looking.

The issue is the link between the Desktop Icon and the exe because when the exe, in the location above is run manually, it works.
