New version..........

PDF Manual included, option under 'Help'.

What you may have to do is format the size of the display. On mine it initially displays in narrow portrait mode but saves it correctly when viewed for the first time and adjusted.

Version 2016.12.30.51

With WinZip you can right click the pdf, and select Open with ...

On a Win7 desktop I opened the pdf in Adobe with no problems. All without unzipping the downloaded file. Smile

Okay here's a weird one that has me stumped ...

I recently reported a speed camera change to a couple of cameras near Bracknell, changing one from 70 and one from 40 both to 50. They now show as 50 in the database, cameras are 172935 and 164704.

Just downloaded the new database. Used the convertor and sent the file to my nuvi. Both show and are announced as 50.

Yet the same file viewed in BaseCamp shows the original speed limits!

I've shut down the PC, deleted then recopied the file, it still shows in BaseCamp incorrectly.

Any thoughts?

A follow up, it's clearly a BaseCamp issue that I need to investigate. Downloaded the latest camera files. As before, speed limits show correctly on my device. With it connected and BaseCamp showing the file on my device correctly it still shows the cameras incorrectly on the BaseCamp map page Rolling Eyes

I thought that Basecamp couldn't read the .gpi file that the device holds.

For myself, I put the cameras on Basecamp by means of importing the .gpx files from Kremmen's converter.

And if that what you did some time ago, they may well be still there now.

Just a thought.

Dales.

Yes, BaseCamp can read any custom POIs from a device, and no, never imported camera files as a gpx.

A new version of the Converter is imminent........

There has been some query/feedback re the confusing Unverified setting.

After investigation this setting, when set to Excluded, stops all the current *_TBA files from being processed.

In the case of Mobile, and more so, pMobile this removes all the cameras that have no speed setting, which for pMobile is currently 63 cameras.

This option has now been removed. If you opt to process pMobile for example you will be warned about all of them. In the case of the TBA's the warning will be along the lines of "Mobile Ahead, Unknown Speed" and the icon will be a question mark, ala the current TBA ones.

What will happen is that any Mobile TBA camera with no associated speed will be moved into new 'unknown' categories to make it more obvious what they are:

New 'Unknown' WAV and BMP files have been included in the install pack for Mobile and pMobile (Copied from the current TBA ones).

I've not found any valid TBA's from the other camera types that have no missing info so they will not change.

There will be new updated help files.

Look forward to that as it will give me a chance for a completely new install just in case something on my PC is producing the weirdness on BaseCamp described above. I was about to look carefully at every file but I'll now wait Smile

When pointed out to me about the confusion surrounding 'Unverified' it was obvious.

They aren't unverified but just have not been submitted with any speed. Doesn't seem to affect the main cameras, just pMobile.

The new manual also explains the Overspeed settings as well as I missed them.

As it happens ....... no

When I looked closer you were spot on. It gave the misleading option to not warn about 70 odd mobile cameras that had no reported speed.

With the way it works now you will get warned about these cameras with the correct warning that the speed is unknown.

Once you've passed it I'll move it to production.

Also the help files need your reading glasses.

No pressure then K. I'll get onto it now.

That's broke it PDG. Beta won't run at all now.
Icon. Click. Circle for about 1/2 second. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.
What's up doc?

No idea, it works on mine OK.

I've got a small check and possible change to make this morning which will involve a recompile.

Presumably you did completely remove the old installer so all that was left was the setup_v52.exe and not both that and the old setup.exe? I'm not sure about this as it nearly caught me out. The setup will still work but the pointers will be wrong.

I do all my basic testing from within the Visual Studio environment so I can watch it running but my final testing always involves installing and running properly.

Anything in Windows Event Viewer ?
