Hi, can anyone tell me if there is a night screen on Camera Alert (Android) as it is way too bright and dangerous to use in the evening?

Hi Steelbreese,
Sorry there's no night screen. The easiest way is to switch to "list" mode instead of "map" mode for night driving.

The iOS version has a night mode that will add a filter over the map view to darken it. This literally took months to get working properly and, at present, is not something we can do in the android version mainly because of device-specific issues (fun!)
however, you could try this app: ScreenFilter which is free and will overlay a dark filter - something that can be done as an android app but would be impossible to do in iOS.

Thanks MaFt - have downloaded it - doesn't look as though it might be dark enough for night time but will try it - I also could adjust screen brightness in the phone but this all becomes a bit too convoluted, when a night mode would make it safely more convenient.
Fingers crossed

Just figured out that the screen filter is adjustable - might be a good solution after all
Cheers |
