my XL Live europe used to reboot itself at least 2 or 3 times a day - very annoying as you then had to wait to get a satellite fix and re-connection to live services.
since the update to 9.40 and then to 9.401 it hasn't rebooted itself once. is this a byproduct of the new update or have i just been lucky over the last couple of weeks?

I have had a similar experience with my 550; it used to reboot itself regularly. Since installing 9.400 it has only done it once - a definite improvement.
Tony, could i suggest you change the thread title to something like 'Reboots less frequent with 9.400?' It may spark more discussion. |

My GO550 has started re-booting again more frequently since 9.401!! It's frightening being in the middle of heavy traffic in, say London, having the satnav reboot and take a long time doing so - leaves me lost over where my next turn is going. Whether rightly or wrongly, I always linked it to connections to the Live Server being dropped or seeking. (Fortunately in my case it's not disastrous as I always have at least one other device running alongside, so I'm not left without a reference whilst it reboots). _________________ Dennis

From my trip to Leicester, I'd say my 740 was now more reliable. It kept the traffic bar longer, and generally had no issues at all, except for one time away from the towns where it lost signal and didn't pick it up itself. I power cycled it and it picked up traffic again straight away. Generally much better.
Now all they need to do is fix the HD Traffic range... |

Ahh, thanks Richard... I thought there was a time limit on being able to edit your posts. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

So long as it doesn't apply to *me*.... I'm terrible for going back and tweaking my posts!
I've never understood how come the mistakes never show up on a preview but stand out like a sore thumb as soon as you hit "Submit" _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Been working hard these last few weeks and haven't popped in here, just noticed this thread and I would like to thank TT for their free software update that works. Since upgrading not one reboot.
