When does my map subscription expire?

Greetings from Hampton Wick.

Like everyone else, I suppose, I have received a TomTom offer of 18 months maps for the price of 12.

How do I find out when my current map upgrade subscription expires?

The TomTom web site lists the invoices I have paid, but doesn't give full details of what I bought; the TomTom itself (under Version Information) says "Please check the 'Licences folder' for applicable licence details"; the Licences folder contains only the small print of my agreements with TomTom.

I don't want to pay again for something I have already bought !

Where can I find the necessary details, please?

If your subscriptions overlap the new one will be tagged onto the end of the current subscription ie extended for a further 6 maps

Well, TomTom successfully took £35.80 from my PayPal account, downloaded a new map and said it was going to extend my subscription, but didn't give any dates.

I can imagine myself renewing far too often and having enough maps to last into the next century.

I suppose the only way of finding out is an email to TomTom. Do they answer emails like that?

Or just count your maps?

I think when they say "One year" they actually mean "4 maps"
(or 6 maps with the current deals)

You normally get emailed a pdf receipt when you purchase or renew a subscription that at least tells when you bought the service so you can make a reasonable guess.

If you raise a support ticket they can tell you normally.

You can e-mail TT via their web site and will be able to tell you when your current subscription ends.
I've just had the information back from TT that my Live Services and Maps ends in Dec'11, so unitl then i'll not be updating anything.

I had a similar query earlier this week, and TomTom confirmed that any new map update subscription is added on to the end of the existing one. You don`t lose any time.

TomTom support will tell you when your existing one expires. As has been mentioned, the receipt you will have received by e-mail will give you the date you took the earlier one out.
