I have had an unusual 16 miles of roadworks, about 6 miles from me reported on my Go940 now for several weeks now and it also appears on the web route planner.

The roadworks start in Hemel Hempstead on the Leighton Buzzard Road, go down through the centre to Two Water Ways and then down A4251 London Road through Apsley to the M25 J20. The roadworks then continue along the M25 from J20 to J18 (there are roadworks J19-J21) and turn off down A404 Chorleywood Road, around Rickmansworth town centre then down A404 London Road to Batchworth.

Has anyone any idea what has happened here?

These roadworks are now showing as a road closed - which means when you try to plan or navigate between J19 to 18 on the M25 it shows it as shut and asks if you want to avoid this closed road and if you don't, it then replans due to traffic reporting a closed road on the route.

If you use the web route planner for M25 J19-J18, it shows the journey as 3.8 miles in 1 minute, a remarkable speed.

At the time of writing the A41 is closed southbound, just north of the M25.

The TomTom route planner (and HD Traffic) has for several weeks showed that a 4.7 mile stretch of the A614 near Goole has been closed. This is incorrect.

Boothferry Bridge on the A614 IS closed, due to repairs, but the rest of the A614 is OK.

I actually drove down this 'closed' road yesterday, and I have no idea why TT is saying it's closed. A bridge is shut, but TomTom thinks it affects 4.7 miles of road!!! Why???

Mapshare corrections have no short term effect as far as I can see, so how would you be able to alert TT to this type of gross error.

Locals would hopefully know about this error., but a visitor to the area could be given a long detour due to the TT sat nav directions.

Boothferry Bridge is at 53.727280, -0.890257.

I go to Tesco in Rickmansworth via Northwood. For weeks now as I go down the A404 [Batchworth Hill], The map shows heavy traffic coming towards me from Rickmansworth. When there is hardly anything coming toward me at all. Something has got 'stuck'.

Oddly enough after being there for many weeks these falsely reported delays and roadworks disappeared yesterday.

Assume the system purges every so often? Either time or data quantity linked?
