Hi. I recently installed the NC2010, running iGo 8. The way updates work, is by using a USB stick and NaviExtras on PC. One connects the USB stick to the PC, run NaviExtras, after which any updates gets loaded on the USB stick. After this, you connect the USB stick to the NC2010 unit, and run a NAV update from the settings menu. It then copies any updates to the unit.
This is a problem for the speed camera files though, as it seems the update is a oneway update only - stick to device. I have tried everything, from removing the original files from the speedcam directory (on USB stick), to resoring nav software to defaults, to resetting unit to factory defaults, to restoring the unit completely with software recovery update. It seems the device retains all files. The USB stick also does not list the DB files after a new txt file has been uploaded, indicating the device hosts files and does not synchronise both ways back to USB stick.
Question is: is there a way to access the directories and files on the unit, to be able to delete the speedcam directory content, prior to copying the new files? I have exactly the same issue with importing KLM files for POI's. No matter what I do, they remain on devices, with no way to remove.
Thanks in advance! |
