|

We have just released the latest CamerAlert for Android application to the Android Market.
Version 1.0.5.368 contains the following fixes:
1) Fixed the END SPECS average cancellation fix when CamerAlert is run in the background.
2) Added option to not show cameras "behind you".
3) Sorted the run on startup list alphabetically.
4) Added a warning if the database is empty (caused by exiting manage cameras before the database has been processed fully). _________________ Mike Barrett

Hi Mike and Lutz,
Bo Peep and I have both downloaded 1.0.5.368 via the Android Market.
After we have downloaded database (in Manage cameras) we are unable to return back to CamerAlert by using the "back" button.
We've rebooted the devices but the problem still continues.
We're using HTC Desire devices running 2.2
Has anybody else found the same problem?

It _should_ allow you to use the buttons again _after_ the download is complete. Reason for this change is that we had a number of crash reports (and a traffic ticket too, I think) caused by an interrupted database update that resulted in no cameras on the device.
Will check and report back _________________ Lutz

I have the same problem as well, just tried it now and have to go back to Home page, then the App to close it or use it.
Funny, because when I updated the cameras yesterday I didn't have that problem.
Couch test today, no GPS signal but using the phone provider location.

at home with wifi.
before pressing 'update' i can press back button to go back to main view.
pressing back button during update has no effect (by design).
pressing back button after the update has finished and the database has been optimised doesn't do anything...

372 fixes a problem with the Manage Cameras page that prevented you returning to the main screen after updating the database. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Have been running 372 for a few days and can happily say that after you have downloaded the latest database in "Manage Cameras" page, the back button once again works and returns you back to the main screen.
The new option to not show cameras "behind you" is very useful and I use this option most of the time. I only switch it off when I'm verifying sites and this allows me to drive past them without them disappearing off the screen.
