Has Tomtom made any further 'public' statements regarding the outstanding features.
In the original statement Map updates (or at least Latest Map Guarantee) was due by the end of 2010. Obviously they missed this deadline for most users (there were a small number of users who commented in these forums that they'd managed a Map update back in December), and for a lot of GO 1000 owners (or similar models) the 90 day extension has been and gone.
Just wondering if a new deadline (floating) has been released?.
Thanks

No new news. I'll be asking about the derisible POI support later this week and will raise the issue of the outstanding features at the same time. _________________ Darren Griffin |

If you're referring to THIS topic on their new forum, I would take it with a very large pinch of salt.

However there will be a new release very soon with all the improvements that are mentioned on the website. The application version 10.110 will be released in a phased manner. |
As I wrote there just now, v10.110 *is* the version that was being released already in a "phased manner" and has been for a couple of weeks.
I presume they are talking about a different build of the same version, but the person doesn't sound like they have any actual understanding of the situation, and is just reading from parts of two pre-prepared scripts. |

But you do have to agree that the Understatement of the Year is the term "technical challenges" _________________ David |

I'm really interested to see how their new forum venture goes...
I signed up and started posting, but then realised it SHOULDN'T be our place to help out TomTom 'on their own patch', so to speak.
So I'm bowing out.
Let them get all the complaints and see how well the standard 'customer services' replies go down with the users.
At least it might open a few eyes at TT when they see how badly people feel let down about the Go1000/2000 models. |

I think they'll find it a lot less rosie than they seem to think. It'll soon be full of complaints. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I'm surprised to find you defined as a "Founding Member" - to my simple mind that infers you are more than just a contributor? _________________ Dennis

It means no more than I (like many other community site owners) was involved in testing the forum before it went live.
We're not exactly dancing in the streets at the arrival of this site but aside from making this a better place to be than there, we can do no more. _________________ Darren Griffin |

OMG just updated MyTomTom rom from 3.0.2.251 (Feb 21, 2011 - Add shared POI) to 3.0.2.267 No POI option. So apologies to HummerUK you were right. Also the pinch of salt mentioned was smaller than estimated. _________________ --

Have you connected your device? The 'Add Shared POI' option only appears when a device is connected. _________________ Darren Griffin |
