We've seen it at CeBit, and at the motorshow. Still no word about when it hits the shelves. MobilePlanet in the US advertise it, but they chicken in when you actually want to buy one... _________________ Lutz

According to TomTom it has already started selling in the Netherlands, so if anyone wants to take a weekend trip over there they should be able to pick one up. I guess as soon as the factory line has ramped up it's production, we'll start seeing it over here. It's a nice unit, and if you want to steer clear of a Palm or Pocket PC, and go for a semi dedicated unit then it's a great piece of kit.
Personally I think with the extra features and price point it'll sell more than the iCN630.
We will have a review available soon, but can't give you a precise date as the review hasn't been put to computer screen yet, it's only in our heads, but it won't be long! |

Why would anyone want a stand alone system when it costs more than an Ipaq + TT3? |

I would want one because it has an accelerometer. _________________ Lutz

There are plenty of potential GPS Nav users out there who either don't have and don't want the complexity of a handheld PDA solution or don't have a computer.
GO is ideal for these users, self contained, no software confliscts with other apps, no chance that it will hard reset if the battery runs flat etc and in addition, as Lutz has mentioned it has accelerometers so can maintain guidance when satellite reception is poor or non-existent i.e. Tunnels, urban canyons etc _________________ Darren Griffin |
