I can't answer your question directly, but if it helps anyone, it says on the N Drive website that "Safety camera can be imported from KML - Google Earth™ supported file." so if you can convert one of the other formats to that it would be a start. No idea how the alerts would work though.

What sort of ability for warnings do you have for other POI's ?
